Description
X-Rite 520 Portable Colour Reflection Spectrodensitometer To buy this product new: £2900 upwards A used X Rite 520, in excellent clean condition and in good working order. It comes with a brand new battery pack and lead, a calibration base, and soft carry case. There are no paper instructions but you can download and print from the internet. These products are very expensive to buy retail, this will be an absolute bargain. The Ultimate Tool to Compare, Proof and Print With the growth in computer-to-plate, digital proofing and digital printing technologies, the right color tools are needed to enable new approaches to process-color proof and print evaluation. Only the X-Rite 520 offers the ability to verify density and dot values, plus the ability to compare L*a*b* values between proofing materials and printed press output. Printers can now evaluate critical overprint colors using colorimetry, to verify whether proofs and prints result in a good match. Newspapers and commercial printers alike can judge gray balance using colorimetry in lieu of densitometry, thereby giving operators earlier warning of color shifts so corrective action can be taken.
