All roasters have the option to be configured with Natural Gas or Propane functionality. The electronics are custom made and installed in North America by our technicians to meet the strict certifications of local governments. To accomplish an Italian style method of roasting, all roasters have a flame bed which heats a rotating drum. The green coffee is easily loaded into the hopper by hand or via our optional pneumatic loaders. The roasting process is monitored by an electronic system measuring the internal temperature of the drum and with the use of a sampling spoon. After achieving the desired roast, the operator lifts the drum handle and the cooling process begins in ventilated tray. For the first 13 minutes, the roasting process is fairly automatic and only during the final minutes is the artisan roaster at play judging when the roasting process is complete. The completion is judged by internal drum temperature, bean color and time.
